Dallaglio Pasta Sauce

dallaglio pastaRetired Rugby Union captain Lawrence Dallaglio has designed a range of pasta sauces for Sacla the pesto company.

Celebrity sauces are nothing new nowadays and Dallaglio will be up against some well established competition. For instance, TV presenter Loyd Grossman entered the market more than a decade ago his own branded pasta sauces and the brand remains a top 3 seller. The other two leading brands are Dolmio and Bertolli.

Dallaglio is Italian and he and his father Vicenzo have joined forces with the also family run Sacla Italian foods company. The pasta sauces will be stocked at Waitrose and Ocado, Tesco and Sainsburys. It’s reckoned that the sauce market is worth in the region of £300 million per year, with the premium end being worth around £80 million.

Have you tried any of the Dallaglio sauces? If so, please leave a comment and tell us what you thought of them.
